Profile set up using sync-ui, started from a terminal. Sync-ui would sync contacts only. (There were no notes on either device at that stage.) The following error message appeared:
** (sync-ui:1452): WARNING **: Unidentified sync report item: source-todo-virtualsource=calendar+todo
** (sync-ui:1452): WARNING **: Unidentified sync report item: source-calendar-virtualsource=calendar+todo
Running SyncEvolution from the command line synced everything correctly.
- Todo on Nokia becomes Task on Evolution
- Memo on Nokia becomes all-day Appointment on Evolution
- Note on Nokia becomes Memo on Evolution
I've been using Lightning with OpenSync for the past year or so. There are problems now with dependencies being dropped from Ubuntu, and the Sunbird/Lightning plugin status seems to be uncertain. Moreover, it's limited in what it will handle without error.
SyncEvolution handles more data types, has more options for error recovery and, so far, seems stable. It may be time to think about changing my calendar program.
