Comments: The Samsung Galaxy S2 is supposed to have a SyncML machine included in Android 4.1.2 but it interrupted the communication with SyncEvolution so that that timed out.
Finally I made it work using the commercial Android app from Synthesis.ch. There are other SyncML apps available which I did not try.
Installation and operation was done according to https://syncevolution.org/wiki/synchronizing-evolution-http-howto Steps for a computer and a phone. The IP-Address of the computer (server) can be obtained with the command ip addr
Tasks are a special thing on Android devices. Synthesis implements its own Tasks application in the STD version. The same is true for Notes, which are available in the PRO version (not tried).
